Sending tax-deductible receipts to donors

Generate IRS-style acknowledgment letters with the correct deductible amount.

Donors need a written acknowledgment for their taxes, and the deductible amount isn't always the full amount paid. Redswing handles the math.

  1. On the Tax receipts tab, enter your EIN (Tax ID) and mailing address, then Save tax info. (These are required before you can download letters.)
  2. Set the fair-market value per player — the value of the round, cart, meals, and gifts a golfer receives. The deductible portion of a registration is the price minus this value, times the number of players. Leave it at $0 if the registration is purely a donation.
  3. Donations are fully deductible; auction wins deduct the item's fair-market value.

Automatic IRS "quid pro quo" notice: When a payment is over $75 and the golfer receives something of value (FMV above $0), Redswing automatically shows a Tax deductibility notice at checkout spelling out the deductible portion. You don't write this — it's generated from your settings.

When you're ready, click Download all letters (PDF) for personalized acknowledgment letters for every contributor. There's also a one-time compliance acknowledgment you complete before your first event.
