Connecting Redswing to Claude Desktop (MCP)

Redswing ships an MCP server so you can manage your events from Claude Desktop using plain language.

Overview

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets Claude Desktop talk to Redswing securely on your behalf. Once connected, you can ask Claude to set up events, review registrations, and check on your fundraising without leaving the chat.

How to connect Claude Desktop

  1. Open Dashboard and go to Connections.
  2. Create a personal access token. The token is scoped and can be revoked at any time.
  3. Add the Redswing MCP server to your Claude Desktop config, using that token to authorize it.
  4. Restart Claude Desktop so it picks up the new server.
  5. Try a built-in prompt such as "Set up a new charity golf tournament."

Things to know

  • Keep your personal access token secret; treat it like a password.
  • You can revoke the token anytime from Connections, which immediately cuts off access.
  • The token is scoped, so it only grants the access it needs.
  • The MCP server uses the same secure Redswing API as the ChatGPT integration.
